Paper Jam or other error on the screen
- First, open up the top cover of the printer entirely and reseat the paper stock. Ensure the plastic paper guides are set wide enough apart so that the paper does not become folded or bent.
- Next, completely close the printer cover.
- If the error remains, power off the printer and power it back on. Once the error has been cleared, you are ready to print again.
- If this does not clear the error, you may need to ensure you have the correct size settings in the printer driver.
- To do so, click on the Windows start button. Navigate to settings, then Bluetooth & Devices, then Printers & Scanners.
- Select the appropriate ZDesigner ZD621-203dpi ZPL printer that shows it is ready.
- Navigate to Printing Preferences within the printer driver.
- Next, in the Options tab, adjust the Width and Height settings to match the stock you are using.
- Click Apply, then click OK. You should now be ready to print.
Nothing Printing
- First, if you are using fanfold stock that has a black timing mark, ensure the black mark is facing down, and the FEED DIRECTION arrow is facing towards the front, or the area where the fanfold stock exits the printer. If your black timing mark stock also has any slots, please ensure the sensor of the printer is positioned so that it is not detecting any of the slots.
- Otherwise, if you are using stock that has a gap between labels instead of a black mark, please ensure the sensor of the printer is positioned so that it is detecting the gap.
- If that does not correct the problem, you may need to adjust the settings within the printer driver. To do so:
- Click on the Windows start button. Navigate to settings, then Bluetooth & Devices, then Printers & Scanners.
- Select the appropriate ZDesigner ZD621-203dpi ZPL printer that shows it is ready. Navigate to Printing Preferences.
- Next, in the Options tab, adjust the Width and Height settings to match the stock you are using.
- Once you have done this, click Apply then OK. As long as the READY light is green, you are ready to print again.
Badges/Names skipping when printing
- If you are using fanfold stock that has both black marks and slots, the sensor may be detecting both. You will need to position the sensor so that it is ONLY detecting the black mark and not the slot.
